I watched Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life over the weekend via Netflix Watch Instantly (I love that service). It’s been several years since I’ve last watched it, and it had me howling again. While my book, The Logical Meaning of God, touches on this very subject in a more serious, philosophical manner, I found the film’s closing monologue to be simple, concise. funny and overall brilliant.

“Well, that’s the end of the film. Now, here’s the meaning of life. Well, it’s nothing very special. Uh, try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations.”
