They opened for Great White and Tesla (who were co-headlining) and in fact were better than both.

Only because the band I was managing at the time, "No More Johnny" opened for them. Didn't care for them. |

Shake Your Money Maker
 |
Saw them as an opening both times before they ever had any radio air play. I thought they were a fair, average rock band. Nothing spectacular, but not bad. Then a month or two later they were the biggest thing to the general public. I still hold to my initial reaction. |

I saw them in 2005. There wasn't an opening act and they performed two sets. The lead guitarist was quite good and they did a few jamming tunes. |

Saw them in Club Manhattan's in Rockland County. Very fiery performance. |

WOW!!!!! Awesome show supporting my favorite Ozzy-era Sabbath record. Right from the opening number - "Symptoms of the Universe" they kicked ass. Though Ozzy's voice cracked several times, Iommi, Ward and Butler ruled. This was a few months before "Never Say Die" came out, yet they played that title track with Ozzy telling the fans this is from our forthcoming album. |

This tour was part of a hot package called The Black and Blue Tour with Blue Oyster Cult make up the blue portion. Outstanding show. First NY Sabbath show without Ozzy. Dio was a smash success. |

Headless Cross
 |
Saw this at the Palladium with Cozy Powell on drums. This was a great show. It had been years since I've seen a show at the classic Palladium. The atmospher was dark, metal and pure Black Sabbath. Tony Iommi wailed and Tony Martin was impressive (although the chorus high notes for Headless Cross were done with samples). Cozy, the legend (RIP) was tremendous. It was great seeing him live again (last saw him with Rainbow on the Down to Earth tour). |

Night at the Opera

I didn't really know them that well. I actually went to see the opening act, Symphony X at "The World" in NYC. Blind Guardian put on a great performance. It was their first NYC concert and the singer announced to the audience that "this is the proudest evening in the history of Blind Guardian". |

Spectres

Part of the Black and Blue Tour with Black Sabbath. It was amazing. They had a giant Godzilla rise up out of the floor of the stage. They played first and I was literally knocked on my ass and exhausted after their killer set. They play with furious energy. |

Club Ninja

They opened for Kiss at MSG. Ironic in that when Kiss started out, they opened for BOC. They were filled with incredible high energy and pretty much blew Kiss of the stage (talent wise), though Kiss did put on a great show. |

Debut release, they opened for The Scorpions. They were still nobody's and were actually okay for a pop hard rock band. |
