Perfect Strangers
 |
One of the most anticipated and well received reunion concerts of all time. The MIGHTY DEEP PURPLE kicked major ass supporting an equally phenomenal album marking their long needed return of the bands best line-up to hard rock.

Who would've guessed that in 2004 that I would've seen a brilliant, kick ass Deep Purple show. Well I did at the Beacon Theater.
I knew it was going to be good, but it was phenomenal!!!!
Thin Lizzy opened and were superb. After the intermission and as soon as the lights went down, the crowd went berzerk. Everyone stood and stayed standing. These seasoned masters of the hard rock craft knocked me for a loop last night. It was nothing short of spectacular. Gillan is still another vocal GOD!!!!!!!!!!! He hit all the screams and did some magnificent vocal/guitar duels with Steve Morse.
They played for 2 full hours. Some great new songs and plenty of classics - and I mean classics! And of course, hearing Machine Head in its entirety was nothing short of a magical event. I still can't believe I saw and heard what I did.
That show was so good, it felt like a dream. The music just took me away. My arms were killing me for days from rocking out and of course I was hoarse. "Come on... Come on... Come on... Let's Go Space Truckin!!!!!!!!" |

On Through the Night
 |
Their debut release and possibly their best. They were a bunch of kids who got to open for the mighty AC/DC who were headlining their Back in Black album at the Palladium. |

They opened for Ozzy at Nassau Colliseum. Decent show. |

Guitars and Women

A lot of fun at this show at The Lone Star Cafe in NYC. I leaned on the low stage and watched the entire performance. It was like my buddy and I were having a private concert. He wailed. |

Opened for Kiss; I wasn't into them. |

Last in Line
 |
Kick ass. Dio put together two brilliant solo records in a row and was back in the arenas under his own name with this one. It was great to see. I can still kick myself in the ass for giving my friend my front row tickets for Dio on the Holy Diver tour. Aaaaaarrrghh! Anyway, this one kicked and Dio once again proved he is one of rock's greatest singers of all time. |

Fun elaborate concert with Dio slaying a dragon on stage. |

Under Lock and Key

They supported Judas Priest on the Turbo tour. Lynch did some great guitar work and Don Dokken was belting out the tunes. They put on a great show. |
