Classic show. The legends were very tight and kicked ass. |

Stormwatch

Another tremendous performance by these classic rock masters. The stage was set up like a giant sailing ship with Ian Anderson swinging on ropes. |

Let the Music Do the Talking
 |
Once in a bar in LI called My Father's Place and another time when he opened for Ozzy at Nassau Col. along with Def Leppard where his equipment was messing up big time. It was awful. |

Raised on Radio - Steve Perry's vocals were amazing and Neil Schon's guitar work was brilliant. However, the downside was that this album was their most commercial to date and I wish I could've seen them back in the day with Valory, Dunbar and Rolle. Still, it was a great show. |

Stained Class
 |
What an amazing show. They opened with Exciter. Halford was unleashing laser beam screams with songs like Savage. This was pre-biker Halford. He was dressed like a Priest with white collar and all. Brilliant set. I had never seen energy in a concert like this before. No mistakes. Unbelievable timing. Perfect! I had been a fan since 1976 and I finally got to see my new favorite band.

Hell Bent For Leather
 |
The debut of the motorcyle and Halford donning the classic leather biker look that changed the face of Heavy Metal forever. I was in fifth row (center, right) at the Palladium. Simply brilliant and magical. |

I was in fifth row again, only on KK's side this time. Awesome.

Saw them with Front Row Seats left side at the Calderone Concert Hall in LI. I brought a pick with me where I put calligraphy lettering of KK on it. During the show I was leaning on the stage (a pre-bouncer era) KK gave me his pick and took mine and strummed his guitar with it. This teenager was beside himself. I had high fives with KK and Halford. Another time I was upstairs at the Palladium. Highlight that night was The Sinner with sick strobe lights. The only downside to this was that after seeing Priest 3 times already with Les Binks, that I missed his brilliant drumming.

Point of Entry
 |
First time was at the Palladium. Intense opening with Solar Angels. KK and Glenn rose on hydrolics behind the speakers during the extended intro. Another flawless killer performance. The second time was at the Pier. Priest hired a plane which flew over the crowd carrying a banner that read "Judas Priest loves New York." Fantastic show. |

Screaming for Vengence
 |
Well, I felt that I no longer had Priest to myself. It was great that they reached a new audience with "You've Got Another Thing Comin" a huge, MTV break-out song, and that they were playing arenas that they deserved, but I missed the intimacy of the Palladium. I was also disappointed in that this was the first tour in which they dropped "Beyond the Realms of Death" from their set list. Still, fantastic shows for a fantastic album.

Defenders of the Faith
 |
A hugely successful album and tour with new classics like "The Sentinel." Gigantic stage show featuring the Metallion from the cover. I really went all over the place to see this one.

Turbo

This was their biggest seller and biggest tour to date. I really went nuts seeing them 5 times this tour in NY, CT, NJ and PA. |

Ram it Down
 |
This was awesome. They dropped the flamboyent look of Turbo and went back to the basics - leather and metal. They finally brought back "Beyond the Realms of Death" and "The Ripper."

Painkiller
 |
Another outstanding tour supporting what I thought was their best release since Hell Bent for Leather. The energy that Scott Travis brought was reminiscent of Les Binks. This was mean, tight, heavy metal.

Metalogy/ 30th Anniversary Reunion Tour
 |
United 30th Anniversary Show on 2004 Ozzfest (1) - Wow! WOW!!!! It was almost surreal seeing Rob back with Glenn, Ian, KK and Scott. They were absolutely perfect and flawless. Rob performed with new level of energy. The band was spectacular. This was at the Jones Beach Ozzfest and I was in around the 8th row on the right. It rained heavily for the entire set but it didn't matter. This was the mighty Judas Priest. Highlights were "The Sentinel," "Beyond the Realms of Death" and the all-time classic "Victim of Changes!!"

Angel of Retribution
 |
What an amazing tour. First off, Queensryche rocked and set the mood perfectly.
Being in a great mood and anxious for the mighty Priest, I truly didn’t expect my 26th & 27th Judas Priest concerts to kick my ass the way they did. As always, the band was energetic, tight and blistering, but once again it was the Metal God who just took the shows into his own hands and took us all to another level. While I thought the Ozzfest reunited show was fantastic, Rob Halford made that tour look like a warm-up. He was beyond brilliant. His commanding presence, theatrical mannerisms and stunning vocals kept the packed audiences on their feet, screaming, singing, banging heads, raising fists and having the times of their lives.
There were so many unbelievable moments but my two biggest highlights included the acoustic version of “Diamonds and Rust” where Halford’s voice was crystal clear, beautiful, and extremely emotional with jaw-dropping range. Another highlight was the ferocious assault of “Hellrider.” This is indeed a new live Priest classic. It could be used as a definition of heavy metal; mean, melodic, and epic.
This is a MUST SEE tour! Halford and company are on fire. Wow. Just, wow!

Jugulator

Jugulator -It was fun seeing Judas Priest on stage. Ripper gave me the "illusion" of Halford, so it allowed me to give Glenn and KK more attention than I had in the past. It was great, but just not the same. |
