Kansas  Power

This was the first time I saw Kansas (Beacon Theater). I had been a fan for years butter had a chance to see them. I never thought I'd have a chance to see them with Steve Walsh on vocal, but lo and behold, he came back and recorded the commercially successful "Power." Walsh is an amazing frontman. The man was doing handstands on top of the keyboards and then did a flip and landed perfectly in place grabbed the microphone and belted out the vocals. It was amazing.

Steve Morse was outstanding on guitar.

Kansas  In the Spirit of Things

Another great show at the Palladium. Walsh once again blew me away. He's in my top ten vocalist list.

Kansas  Box Set (Wheels)

Couldn't pass up the chance to see them up close in a bar in NJ in 1992. Just tremendous. Played tons of classics.

Kansas  Freaks of Nature

Finally a new album and tour came out. Saw this one in a club called the Big Kahuna in Delaware. I was real close to the stage. Walsh never let me down before and again his vocals were on the money. I wasn't familiar with the new album and the new songs kicked ass. Of course I went out and bought it the next morning.

King's X King's X
Amazing! Simply amazing. Unbelievable trio live.  Tons of energy. Ty Tabor on guitar was stellar, Doug Pinnick on bass and most lead vocals was moving and Jerry Gaskill on drums was unreal with a very minimal kit.

Kingdom Come Kingdom Come
I enjoyed some earlier work of vocalist Lenny Woff (Stone Fury) but really like what he did with this band. Though I'm not really a Led Zep fan, the influence is undeniably there. They were very tight live as one of the early bands on a huge Monsters of Rock bill.

Kiss Rock and Roll Over
My first concert and it was a biggie. Kiss's historic first MSG show. Awesome show with the Destroyer stage show set. They opened with Detroit Rock City and went right in King of the Night Time World. Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter in their prime.

Kiss Love Gun
Kiss returned to the Garden in support of another smash hit album Love Gun. Another gigantic stage show.

Kiss Alive II

What can I say. The album insert art says it all. Amazing stage show with killer songs.

Kiss 1 Dynasty
This started a decline for Kiss. Wasn't too thrilled with this record having that Casablanca, disco, flavor of the month, sound which was a direction away from Kiss' core sound. Anyway, I had orchestra seats at the Garden for this one and had a blast.

Kiss Unmasked
This was amazing. It had been years since I've seen Kiss, and they were back in NY at the wonderful Palladium theater. I had amazing seats, 3rd row orchestra. This was the best that I had seen them perform. A big part had to do with that Eric Carr (RIP) had just joined the band and was on that tour.

Kiss Lick it Up
Now this tour was really an unmasked type of tour as it was the first album and tour without make-up. They had a big hit with the title track and played to a full house at NY's Beacon Theater. Accept opened for Kiss and were actually better and tighter supporting their Balls to the Wall classic album. Ace was gone and Vinnie Vincent was on lead guitar. I didn't care for VV, he seemed a bit full of himself and wasn't that impressive. Gene and Paul however rocked their hearts out. Favorite song of the night was "Creatures of the Night."

Kiss 1 Asylum
Kiss were back in the big arenas again on this tour. Bruce Kulick on guitar was great. I had awesome orchestra seats again at the Meadowlands Arena. Blue Oyster Cult put on a killer warm-up performance. Kiss put on a fun, rocking show.

Kiss 1 Smashes, Thrashes & Hits

This was a special club tour around 1989 focusing on vintage material like Deuce, Firehouse, Strutter, Hotter than Hell, etc.  It was at a packed Ritz. One of the most uncomfortable crowds I was ever in. It was so damned hot. I was saturated with sweat when this was over. It was so crowded that at one point I was off the ground and just wedged between people. Beside all that, it was an amazing show hearing all the vintage pre-Alive I material.

Krokus Headhunter
This was a very good, complete metal album. With a big successful single "Screaming in the Night" Krokus made some noise here in the States. They were very tight and rocked hard.
