Long Live Rock and Roll
 |
Great to see this legendary band but too bad it was only for about a 30 minutes though. Blackmore's sound was a bit off and he left ater a couple of songs. Dio came out and broke the news to everyone. We all got refunds, which I immediately exchanged for Jethro Tull tickets - got to see a great vintage AC/DC show (Powerage) for free as they were openers. |

Down to Earth
 |
Always an amazing show seeing Ritchie Blackmore. I had 5th row both times. A young Don Airey was on keys and I believe it was Bob Daisley on bass. |

Saw this legendary guitarist at The Pier as well as the Beacon Theater. Obviously a huge Hendrix fan, SRV played with a ton of feel. |

Fire Down Under

They opened for Rush at MSG. High energy show. Guy Speranza (RIP) was full of energy and was obviously beside himself being on stage at the Garden. |

Rhett Forrester (RIP) put on a great hard rocking show. The song, Hard Lovin Man really stuck out. |

Very high energy performance at the Palladium as they opened for Motorhead. Great reception from the crowd. |

Hemispheres
 |
Awesome, the first and possibly still the best Rush show I have ever seen. They opened with Anthem. They played the epic song 2112 in its entirety. They also brilliantly performed Cygnus X-1 and its new sequel Hemispheres in their entirety. In fact they also played every song from side two of Hemispheres. Other songs that night included By-Tor and the Snow Dog, A Fairwell to Kings, Working Man and other classics. First time was at the Palladium then Nassau Colliseum. |

Permanent Waves
 |
Just like the previous tour, I saw this one first at the Palladium and then at Nassau Colliseum. I had 3rd row center orchestra at the Palladium and it was nothing short of magical. Still playing a ton from the previous tour, the PW materials was outstanding. The highlight for me was "Natural Science" - an epic masterpiece. |

Sadly they left the Palladium days as this monster release catapulted them to Madison Square Garden. As always brilliant. |

I saw this tour at Radio City Music Hall with Marillion, on their first US tour, supporting them. |

Another big arena production. Very cool backdrop movies. Sadly though a big chunk of the earlier material had been phased out of the set. |

Similar to the previous tour, dropping the old songs for the newer ones. Still awesome. |

Hold Your Fire
 |
I call this the big balls tour as they had the three giant red balls from the cover art float amongst the audience. Great album and tour. |

Roll the Bones

They seemed to rock a little harder like they used to in the older days. Another top notch tour. |

Feedback
 |
Feedback was the 30th Anniversary tour. It was an amazing 3 hour show. They sounded superb. Geddy Lee's vocals were in TOP form. Hard to imagine, but they just seemed to have gotten better. Lee's bass work was brilliant.
