Santana Blues for El Salvador (and other tours ???)
Many shows at the NYC Pier Concerts and Jones Beach but a very special performance was at the Avery Fischer Hall in support of his Blues for El Salvador release. The acoustics were stunning. Every guitar player should see Carlos Santana. He plays with unbelievable feel and can truly rip while sustaining real melody and honost emotion.

Sarantino, Blues Plaid [no image]
Saw him in a small club in NYC to do a story on him for NY Onslaught. The guys was amazing. Great guitar work with a fun, natural presence on stage.

Savatage Power of the Night
The first and only time I saw these guys. Awesome show at Lamours East. Rocked big time. The song that stood out the most for me was "Warriors."

Saxon Denim and Leather
Saw them twice on this tour. The first time around they opened for Triumph at the Palladium who were on their successful "Allied Forces" tour. At least half the crowd there went primarily for Saxon. Incredible reception for an opening act. After building a long, overdue following, they returned to the Palladium, still on the D&L tour, but this time as headliners.

Saxon Rock the Nation
This time I saw Saxon in Lamour East. My friends, Silent Listener, were the opening act. Saxon kicked ass, but it was a little bit of a downer not to see the club packed as it should've been. This was a far cry from Denim & Leather draw.

Saxon
Scorpions Lovedrive
Awesome! This was their first American tour, and being a big fan since "Taken by Force" was released, I was psyched to them. They opened with one of my favorite tunes "We'll Burn the Sky" Also played classics like "He's a Woman", "Steam Rock Fever" and "In Trance."  They ripped the crowd apart with "Another Piece of Meat."

Scorpions Love at First Sting
This release made the Scorpions a household name. With the over exposed "Rock You Like a Hurricane" the Scorps became a metal phenom. These shows were incredible. Extremely energetic. "Still Loving You" heralded the Scorps as the premiere metal band for quality ballads.

Scorpions Savage Amusement
Though this record was not as solid as LaFS, the Scorps are always worth seeing live and they were without a doubt the best band at Monsters of Rock, besting Metallica and Van Halen. One lame critic said that the Scorpions sounded too rehearsed. My god, what a stupid comment. They put on a flawless, tight, energetic heavy metal performance!

Scorpions Unbreakable
In August 2005, I went out of my way to see the Scorps; it's been ages and long overdue. The show was brilliant. They opened with a new song, "New Generation" from Unbreakable which kicked ass. The song and crowd rocked big time. The night was filled with a mix of new and old spanning their incredible career. Vintage tunes like "He's a Woman, She's a Man," and "In Trance" were tremendous. Klaus's voice was stellar. Nothing has changed in this legend's vocals. Matthias, an elite guitar player, shredded and Rudolph and his flying V were amazing. This was a phenomenal show packed with tons of energy and killer songs including "Blackout" "Loving You Sunday Morning" "Coast to Coast" "Holiday" "Arizona"

Silent Listener 10+ Veterans of the Fight
These were friends of mine that were a superb local NYC & Westchester act who put out an EP that made the Belgium charts, "Veterans of the Fight." Good rocking, metal band. Yours truly did the graphics for the album. :)

Soundgarden 1 song ????
They performed one song at "Concrete Metal Award Show" 1992

Spinatras, The 1 @Midnight.com
CMC International Artist featuring Ross "the Boss" band and my friend, the amazing Rich Fazio on drums. Earlier these two were in a very cool hard rockin band Hey Day. Yours truly designed the web site for them. You can see my name in the insert credits. :)

Starz Attention Shoppers
Decent hard rock band. They opened for Rush (Hemispheres) at the Palladium. Michael Lee Smith was decent on vocals, but really was looking and acting too much like Steve Tyler.

Styx Pieces of Eight
This was Styx at their peak. It was a great concert, with wonderful sound and overall a very tight performance. Outstanding song of the night was "Queen of Spades."

Symphony X Odyssey
WOW! What can I say. These guys have become one of my all-time favorite bands. Every member was nothing short of brilliant. It was some of the best live music I had ever heard. Russell Allen is destined to be considered one of THE greatest singers of all-time (behind Rob Halford of course). Romeo's guitar work is mind boggling. He may be the greatest technically skilled guitarist I had ever heard or seen. While Schenker remains my favorite guitarist, I have to admit that I think Romeo is probably better. He has the feel of Schenker and is faster than Yngwie and knows when to do what. It's not all supersonic licks. The song writing is masterful fusing classical, progressive rock and heavy metal. Some of the best music ever written.
